Theresa Breslin O.B.E. is a prolific and critically acclaimed children's author from Scotland and winner of the prestigious Carnegie Medal. Her books include An Illustrated Treasury of Scottish Folk and Fairy Tales, An Illustrated Treasury of Scottish Mythical Creatures and An Illustrated Treasury of Scottish Castle Legends. She lives near Glasgow, Scotland.

Liza Tretyakova is a prize-winning illustrator from Russia. She has a BA in Illustration from the University of Plymouth, UK and studied History of Art at Moscow State University, Russia. She currently lives in Moscow.
