#63 Eastern Towhee

*These bulky and boldly-patterned sparrows prefer undergrowth habitat and can often be heard scratching away at the leaf litter. In the breeding season, the males usually shed their furtiveness and sing from a conspicuous perch. The females (pictured here) build their cup nests on the ground or close to it in shrubs. Their name comes from one of their most familiar calls: a two-part, rising “towhee.”

All embroidered bird patches have an iron-on backing, but the adhesive is temporary. For durability, we recommend sewing or using a permanent, flexible fabric glue.

A small, detailed bird patch made for adding a bit of the natural world to everyday things. Sew it onto a favorite jacket, tuck it onto a backpack, or use it to mend and keep something well-loved in use a little longer.

Perfect for nature lovers, young explorers, and anyone who enjoys small, meaningful details inspired by the outdoors.
