#80 Blue Jay

*Colorful and noisy, Blue Jays are common visitors to the woodlots and backyards of the eastern United States. Members of the corvid family, they’re intelligent and adaptable. They regularly visit bird feeders to eat peanuts or sunflower seeds, but they also love acorns, a taste that is credited with helping spread oak trees after the last glacial period. They also mimic the calls of hawks, either as a signal to other jays that a hawk is present or to trick other species into believing one is.

All embroidered bird patches have an iron-on backing, but the adhesive is temporary. For durability, we recommend sewing or using a permanent, flexible fabric glue.

A small, detailed bird patch made for adding a bit of the natural world to everyday things. Sew it onto a favorite jacket, tuck it onto a backpack, or use it to mend and keep something well-loved in use a little longer.

Perfect for nature lovers, young explorers, and anyone who enjoys small, meaningful details inspired by the outdoors.
