In the third volume of Aunt Jo's Scrap-Bag, Louisa May Alcott presents a vibrant assortment of tales ranging from the whimsical to the deeply heartfelt. Whether following the humorous antics of "Cupid and Chow-Chow" or the imaginative play of "The Moss People," Alcott continues to offer her readers a "scrap-bag" of ideas that are as varied as they are vivid.
Within these pages, children will discover "Nelly's Hospital," a touching look at compassion and care, and join "Grandma's Team" for a lesson in sturdy, old-fashioned persistence. Alcott never speaks down to her audience; instead, she invites them to see the world with a "natural eye" and a hopeful heart. These are living stories that cultivate a love for what is good and true, providing the gentle guidance that has made Alcott a favorite for generations.
