An easy to use foraging log for kids!
This 6 x 9 little perfect-bound log (or journal) is filled with 110 pages of nice 55 lb paper and is a great size to take along on any foraging adventures. There are 48 pages (front and back) with wide ruled lines for recording the name, date, weather, location & terrain, gathering notes, and what the foraged find was used for. There is even a space to sketch your plant, mushroom, lichen, etc.!
In the front few pages of this kids' foraging log is a place to record the owner’s name, tips for using this log, illustrations of a few common leaf shapes, warnings of things to lookout for when foraging, three plants to avoid, an illustrated list of handy tools to have when foraging, and a few book suggestions.
The pages are printed on 55 lb paper but markers and paint will bleed through. Pencils and color pencils are what will work best for log entries and sketches.
